Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Management Celebrates Earning the Joint Commission International Accreditation with all Employees

Abu Dhabi, UAE: 09 July, 2008 – On the occasion of earning Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) under the management of Cleveland Clinic organized a celebration for all their staff today. The celebration was arranged in two sessions, lunch and dinner, for all those who work day and night shifts, respectively.  

The celebration took place in a specially arranged tent on the SKMC campus. Several activities were organized and the management team of SKMC welcomed and served the staff.

 

Dr. Scott Strong, acting CEO of SKMC said, “This celebration underscores SKMC‘s ongoing desire to motivate, appraise, and honor our employees. We look forward to promoting personal growth and excellence.”

 

“Each of the 4700 employees at SKMC impacts the delivery of patient care, and SKMC management would like to honor them as they were all part of the accreditation we have achieved,” Dr Strong added. “Our goal is to ensure a high level of patient satisfaction and world class quality that can only result from extremely satisfied employees.”

SKMC has earned accreditation from Joint Commission International (JCI) for its Medical Pavilion, Surgical Pavilion, and the Outpatient Speciality Clinics. JCI is recognized to be a worldwide leader for the improvement of quality in health care.  Joint Commission International’s on-site evaluation of SKMC occurred on 6-10 April 2008.
